Our Host Cities

EURO 2026 would not be possible without the support of Prostějov, Otrokovice and Zlín. We are proud to work with three cities that share a strong sporting tradition and a genuine connection to Czech korfball.

During the championship, they will become home to teams and fans from across Europe. We invite you not only to fill the stands, but also to explore the cities, enjoy their atmosphere and spend time together beyond the matches. Three cities are ready to welcome Europe.

Otrokovice

Otrokovice may be smaller than the other host cities, but korfball already has a genuine home here. The local ASKA Otrokovice club works extensively with children and young players, while the Městská sportovní hala regularly hosts domestic and international korfball events. In May 2026 alone, the international ASKA Cup brought almost 450 young players and 57 teams to the city. EURO 2026 will take that connection to another level when senior national teams arrive to compete for the European title.

The Městská sportovní hala on Mánesova Street will host Groups B and C. Fans will see Belgium, Portugal, Hungary and Scotland in Group B, while Germany, Türkiye, Serbia and Slovakia will compete in Group C. With Belgium and Germany among the leading European nations, the opening programme promises high-level korfball from the very first day. The action continues after the group stage with further matches on 20 and 21 October. Otrokovice also offers visitors a different side of the host region: a modern city shaped by the Baťa industrial era and located at the meeting point of Haná, Wallachia and Slovácko.

Prostějov

Prostějov is a city with a strong sporting tradition and a long connection to Czech korfball. Over the years, it has become known for hosting major sporting events and for its successful clubs in sports such as tennis, volleyball, basketball and korfball. During EURO 2026, the local DDM sports hall will become one of the two centres of the opening stages of the championship.

And the line-up could hardly be more attractive. Group A brings the Netherlands, Catalonia, Poland and Switzerland, while Group D features host nation Czechia alongside England, Ireland and Wales. This means Prostějov will welcome both the reigning powerhouse of world korfball and the Czech national team playing in front of its home supporters. After the group stage, the city will also host matches in the next phase of the tournament on 20 and 21 October. For local fans and visitors alike, Prostějov will offer several days when international korfball becomes part of the city’s everyday life.
